REFUGE / Tribeca Film Festival World Premiere

After premiering at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival in New York, PBS and ITVS commissioned “REFUGE” written and directed by MKSHFT’s Mohammad Gorjestani has had an impressive run of press and accolades. Filmmaker Magazine tapped Mohammad as one of this years 25 New Faces in Independent Film (see links below) A list that has past featured Lena Dunham, Hilary Swank, Ryan Gosling, and Ryan Coogler. This past week Vimeo selected Refuge as a Staff Pick and The Huffington Post did a piece on the film and an interview with the director. 

In addition to developing his feature film “Somehow these Days will be Missed” which was awarded the KRF Filmmaking Grant from the San Francisco Film Society,  Mohammad is releasing a music film for the new Deltron 3030 (Dan the Automator & Del Tha Funky Homosapien) album “Event 2″. The 6 minute film will debut in November.
